It’s not how bad you want it.
It’s how hard you’re willing to work for it.
This is one of my favorite mantras that drives and inspires me. Read below to learn more about me as a person and as your trainer.
Hi, I’m Erin. Proud mom of 2. Happy wife. Athlete. Trainer. Entrepreneur. Spitfire. Workhorse. I am an energetic, fun, passionate, and outgoing woman who lives by the ‘work hard, play hard’ mantra. Much of what I believe about fitness ties into this concept of the balance of living fully and holistically in all aspects: nutrition, fitness, work, play, friends/family and so on. I have always been process-oriented and results-driven with a very strong work ethic. I will always give 100% as a matter of principle, so you can expect my full effort and best. It is important to me that I am strong, both physically and mentally, but equally as important to be a kind, caring and compassionate person. I work hard to give and be my best every day. I don’t always succeed, but certainly always try. Fitness has always been a part of my life as I love to play sports, run and train for half marathons and execute weekly strength, endurance and HIIT exercise training programs for myself.
To learn a little bit more about me as a person, it may be easiest to share my love list. I love so many things, but here are some of my favorites: family, good friends, good people, good times, good wine, good vibes, vacations, chips and salsa, dessert, a good show, good (and loud) music, concerts, dancing, singing, having fun, being playful, laughing until you cry, running, working out, playing sports, boating, colorful things, nature, animals, holidays, hard work and hustle, being bold, feeling inspired, a pajama day with no plans (hard to come by), snuggling up fireside, and, last, but certainly not least, the ocean (and yes, long walks along the beach, too).
It All Started with a Run
I have always been a competitor and athlete, growing up playing sports all my life and training in weight rooms and gyms. But, when I look back, I would say that I really began my fitness journey in 2008 at the age of 26 when I began running half marathons. I encouraged several friends to train and run the Green Bay Half Marathon with me. That was it. I wasn’t particularly great at it to start, but I set a goal and accomplished it and I was proud of myself. More importantly, I had found a new love. I have run at least one half marathon every year since and have incorporated running into my weekly schedule of crazy work, family and life events because I wouldn’t have it any other way. It all started with a run.
The Power of Now
I just turned 40 and realized the importance of fitness in my life. It makes me feel and look my best, keeps me happy and constantly challenged and is something that I am truly passionate about. I also realized that I wanted to turn fitness training into my career allowing me to merge my passion with purpose, to help other women embrace and succeed in their own fitness journey. I came to this realization after trying several other “jobs” first (retail, corporate marketing, owning and opening my bridal store businesses and becoming a mom). After the many years of grinding it out and trying to find something that I absolutely loved, I finally found it in fitness. And, at 40, I am in the best shape of my life and have so many business and life experiences that make me way more valuable as a fitness trainer and coach now more than ever.
I hope you find your ‘now’ and embrace your fitness journey with me.
