“My approach to fitness design is based on holistic, functional fitness as part of a balanced lifestyle, inclusive of flexibility, stabilization, core, strength, endurance, HIIT and cardiorespiratory training. Within these training styles, there are many modalities of execution across each that we will utilize, which allows me to keep the training sessions unique, fresh and fun.

Over the years, I have trained as a runner and have been an active member of many gyms and involved in many fitness and personal-training programs. All were good and served a purpose for me at those times, but with my trainers, specifically, there was no end goal, but rather an assumption that I would train indefinitely. I took all the positive elements of my fitness experiences, along with all of the opportunities I identified in my years of being trained to create a premium, in-home personal training service that delivers on the things that I felt were missing, but that I needed, as a woman.

I have learned the importance of a strong and trusting trainer/client relationship. There needs to be a level of comfort because in fitness, there is vulnerability and self-doubt. My job is to be there to support and motivate you, helping you identify and break down any barriers to success along with way. I understand how a woman’s body works, the emotions we go through and the challenges of sustainability and balance of both nutrition and workout regimen along with the pressures of ‘how to look’ in the world and the insecurities that go along with that.

I have come to believe that fitness is really a way of life with the conscious decision to put in the work to maintain a lifelong fitness journey.

I am passionate about helping other women begin or continue on their lifelong fitness journey and appreciate the importance of doing that together.

Start Where You Are / Use What You Have / Do What You Can (Arthur Ash)

Anyone can begin their fitness journey at any time. Each journey is unique and is not dependent on anything or anyone else. You do not need to be at a certain level of fitness or be an athlete or competitor in order to begin your fitness journey. Literally, start where you are, think of some initial fitness goals and start now. You don’t need new workout clothes or to lose 10 pounds first. Take action and schedule your consultation today. It all starts with commitment…to yourself.

Your Fitness Journey Can Meet You Where You Are, Literally

I have an extensive collection of training equipment that I bring to your home to execute your personal training sessions in the comfort and convenience of your own home. All you need is a minimum space of approximately 5 x 7 ft. for me to set up your personalized workout session.

Training Should Make You Feel Accomplished & Motivated to Continue

The training sessions will be designed specifically for you with your workout preferences in mind so that you walk away feeling that you conquered the workout (vs. it conquering you!). It is important that I work with you and for you to develop a challenging, yet enjoyable and sustainable training plan that will be rewarding as you achieve your desired fitness goals.

Personal Trainers Should Not Be Unaffordable or Indefinite

This is a BIG one for me. With all of my previous personal-training experiences, there was no end-game discussed and there was an assumption that we would train indefinitely. That may work for some, but is not likely sustainable for the majority of people. My training methodology is based on your specialized training plan designed for you, your body and your desired goals. We will evaluate results weekly, holding you accountable to do the work and get the results. Together, over time, you will reach your goals and walk away with the knowledge and experience to continue your lifelong fitness journey.

Trust & Support Is Required for Your Personal Trainer Relationship

Your personal trainer should be someone you feel comfortable with and trust to go on your fitness journey with you. They will need to understand you mentally and physically to help provide the support and motivation needed during each session to push beyond the challenges and roadblocks of life. It is critical to find a trainer who you are compatible with because that can help ensure your path to success.

Training Should Be Challenging, Enjoyable, Sustainable and Ever-Evolving

Part of personal training for me has always been to outsource the accountability because when I pay for a gym membership or a personal trainer's expertise, it holds me accountable to show up and put in the work. And, with that came the results. With that said, that is a major reason for seeking out personal fitness training, but the workouts need to be varied and kept fresh to maximize fitness results and continue to challenge you each session. Regular touchpoints are also necessary to check in on both fitness and nutrition to adjust the training plan, as needed. With everything in place, you should enjoy all the elements of your personal fitness journey.

Start Embracing, Stop Chasing

This is a saying I thought of as I was approaching fitness differently over the last few years. I realize, like many women, that we are always chasing this ‘perfect look,’ the seemingly impossible expectations and potentially unattainable vision of what we should look like. We do not always consider our body type or age, current nutrition and general fitness regimen. The result is often feelings of guilt and disappointment. Fitness should not be this way. We need to start embracing our journey and body and incorporate a healthy fitness regimen that can be sustained and make us feel better and better with each goal we hit. Change mentally, spiritually and physically is inevitable when you put in the work.
